About ADVAY

Advay is a project organised in "Netaji Subhas Institue of Technology" ,with a team of sixteen graduates and guided by invaluable expierience of their faculty adviser Mrs Ranjana Jha.The purpose of this challenge is to compete in race called South African Solar Challenge.In. this event many countries across the globe participate in a 4175 km long race.

The car 'ADVAY' was designed and built by students of NSIT. We are a team of volunteers dedicated to achieving and demonstrating extreme efficiency in transport.

ADVAY is a project undertaken by 16 undergraduate students of Netaji Subhas Institute Of Technology ,under the immaculate guidance of their faculty advisors . Team ADVAY turns a vision into reality. Since last year, it has been promoting the use of clean and renewable sources of energy by designing, constructing and racing a world-class solar powered race car. It is our aim that the work done here leads to the economical use of solar and other environmentally-friendly vehicles.

Various different departments of team are responsible for design, manufacture and testing of the vehicle .The different teams work specifically on solar panels ,motors, steering ,battery ,chassis divisions .The Engineering team ensures that each system performs to the highest standards. The promotion of solar powered technology remains the underlying motivation. As research expands its practicability, the team hopes to demonstrate that solar power, when used in conjunction with other clean sources of energy, can serve as a sensible alternative to fossil fuels. Students are able to learn valuable design techniques, as well as steps to implement the designs they produce. They themselves figure out the necessary materials, tools and processes that best fit the application of their designs .Throughout the process they must directly work with their peers ,collaborating, brain storming and solving problems they may encounter .

TEAM ADVAY has grown to become the largest student-run project at the University of Delhi, with dozens of students extending themselves in an effort to advance research, enhance design and perfect the construction techniques of solar cars. This is where the TEAM journey begins. The challenge lies not in finding the energy, enthusiasm and effort that carry this team, but in producing the required support in terms of services, materials and funding. Join us in our drive to push the technology further towards the limit and build on the outstanding history and accomplishments of the NSIT Solarcar Racing TEAM.
